Corona Virus & how the Salvage Sister is adapting to support you

I hope you are all staying safe at this difficult time.

I know a lot of you have concerns regarding travelling & group meetings while we face a pandemic.

For the time being my face to face group workshop classes are paused inline with government advice.

I wanted to let you know what the Salvage Sister is doing during this period of self isolation & how I will continue to inspire, teach & generally do my best to get you through it, even if we can’t meet face to face for workshops!

Please be aware that all gift cards, store credits and deposits for custom made projects still stand.

Where applicable gift card & store credit expiry dates will be extended to allow you to use them for classes once normal schedules are resumed.

I am still making handmade items and creating content & DIY Kits for you to enjoy.

My DIY up-cycling kits, Bottle Cutter kits & Lamp kits are still available for purchase & I will continue to post these out to you so you can keep your brain active & have fun.

My Gift cards are a fantastic way to treat someone who is feeling poorly, lonely,
or who is unlucky enough to have to celebrate a birthday in isolation.

These can be redeemed against any workshop class, handmade item or DIY kit once they’re feeling better.

Or maybe you cannot visit your mum this mothers day?

Show her you care while keeping her safe, & give her something to look forward to.

Because of the Woodstore’s impending move I was scheduled to take a one month break from teaching classes to prepare for running workshops from several other venues anyway, now it looks like it may be a little longer because we are isolating, although as soon as it is safe to do so –

We will be back and bigger & better than ever!

As well as continuing to work with Brighton Woodstore once they are settled & Corona subsides, I also have other venues secured for creative classes & we are adding metalworking into the mix!

We have another amazing woodworking venue, and a forge for Beginners Blacksmith & metalwork classes & I have several other locations that I was due to visit to arrange classes with.

Sadly the meetings have been postponed until it is safe to travel, however – I am very much using this time to get super organised & kitted out so I am ready to rock up anywhere and teach, demonstrate & inspire you creatively.

What I am saying is – It’s not all doom & gloom!

Keep an eye on my social channels for lots of new videos and content, including tutorials, tool reviews, projects I’m working on & lots of ways you can get involved from the safety of your own home. (Links Below)

We can use this time to adapt our businesses and schedules to work in our favour.

Be creative, get inspired, and learn.

I’m actually looking at the silver linings, and trying to take something good from being isolated & unable to workshop with you.

Over the next few weeks I will be releasing dates for workshops at these new venues with more classes & more creativity, on top of my original workshop classes.

You will be able to use your credit note towards any workshop you like & you can use it anytime in the next 12 months to redeem against any workshop.
(Again, if things change & extensions are needed they will be made – I never want anyone to miss out!)

My main priority is always your health and safety while keeping classes fun & inspiring.

I hope you understand & can support myself & The WoodStore by giving us a little window of time to get settled & come back with a bang (and no lurgy!)

Many thanks,

Charis (The Salvage Sister) xx
