COVID Workshop Protocol
How will I keep you safe while you workshop?
My classes are small, & workspaces are large & ventilated.
When it is a govt legal requirement to wear a face covering in leisure & tourism facilities & schools, it is also during a necessity during some of indoor workshops.
At MidSussex venue we have lots of space & work in an open barn, as such we do not need to wear face masks on site, unless in close proximity to another student.
At our Brighton Girls GDST venue face coverings must be worn inside the building. Sometimes it may be possible during warmth & dry days to workshop outside, where you will not need a face covering.
We ask all students to bring a comfortable face covering to workshops, so they have it if they need it.
When masks are a legal requirement I will wear a clear face shield when teaching the class (within 2 meters) so I can be heard and my lips can be read.
Each class is booked in advance, no one should arrive onsite for the workshop without a valid ticket being bought online prior to the event (find out more in my TERMS & CONDITIONS)
No cash on site should exchange hands – please bring a credit or debit card if you wish to purchase more wood/kits/products on the event day.
DO NOT ATTEND If YOU FEEL UNWELL
You can now cancel and reschedule your workshop up to 48 hours before the class is due to start, and you have the option to transfer your ticket to someone else within 7 days of the event start, find full details in my TERMS & CONDITIONS
If I am ill – I will notify students who are due to attend the class/es that are affected that I am unable to attend. If I suspect it is COVID I will contact everyone I have been in contact with. (Full details in my T&C’s)
If you fall ill with suspected COVID-19 within 7 days of a attending a Salvage Sister workshop you must notify me via email HERE as soon as you are made aware.
I keep a register of everyone who attends my workshops and how long they stayed.
I can tell at a glance who came in to contact with who and for how long.
This is crucial information if an outbreak if suspected. If this happens I will share the information with health officials to contain and stop the spread.
I will also contact any other students that may have been affected to give them details, so they can protect their community.
On site/During Classes
Please bring a face covering incase it is needed.
Hand sanitisers, disinfectant spray & hand washing stations are provided – please use them to limit the spread of germs.
Students from different households will be spaced 2 meters apart.
Tools and machines will be sanitised at the beginning and end of classes.
Face-covering worn in line with government advice – when applicable.
If you feel unwell during a class, please let us know immediately.
After Your workshop
We have a register of all attendees, our own little Track and Trace!
We will use this to notify you – if anyone you have come into contact with becomes ill with suspected Covid:1
