Thanks Charis for a fantastic Power Tools session today. You reignited my love of wood & I can’t wait to come along to another session. Girls can use tools! Jacquie Trott x — with Vanessa Goldsmith.

Hi Charis
Thank you for the Beginner’s Workshop on Saturday. It was absolutely brilliant and so full of information and practical advice to find our way around a surprising amount of power tools in the time. It was a wonderful, relaxed and informal class which was also a lot of fun. I would definitely be interested in taking part in further classes and would highly recommend them to others.

Charis Williams –
I attended the Absolute Beginners Power Tools Workshop as a, well, absolute beginner and left a lot more confident, more empowered and very inspired by what I could now do with power tools. Charis, it’s so lovely and really helped me get over to my anxiety of using big power tools, especially saws! Her enthusiasm is infectious and she’s very understanding. Managed to get my hands on a big range of tools in a short amount of time (3 hours!) and I would feel happy to use them again on my own. Would absolutely recommend this workshop or any of her workshops, and I can’t wait to visit her again. Thanks Charis!! – Trip Advisor Reviewed by JRA247

Knowledge is Power!
Charis gets you started immediately with drills, saws and much more giving important safety tips but also lots of interesting advice. She is so knowledgeable about her subject and passionate about what she does and how she can help others to learn and use those skills. The Absolute Beginners Power Tools course is an absolute must for anyone who wants to gain confidence in using these tools. TRIPADVISOR user – ‘Brighton_Ragazza’

I aabsolutely loved this course. Charis was wonderful and really treated us well and was fun to be with as well as incredibly knowledgeable. She was never patronising and really left us practice with the tools in a very relaxed manner. I totally recommend this course to anyone who has ever wanted to use a powertool but too wary to try.

Simplistic, but very well explained. If you had never touched a tool before I think it would be reassuring. I did pick up some good tips
Charis Williams –
Hi Hillary, Thank you for leaving us a review. I think you would really enjoy a woodworking workshop we have coming up 23rd March 2024 – where you’ll learn how to cut mitres, use tools for detailed & intricate designs & make something unique to take home. I’ll email you now, you can always find our event calendar here: https://www.salvagesister.co.uk/calendar-of-events/ Thanks, Charis

The salvage sister is the best. Funny, positive and encouraging, simply the best learning experience I have ever had. I just loved the beginners power tools course. I had enough confidence to drill a hole and put up a curtain rail. I will definitely be back in the new year for palette furniture .

An enjoyable useful course which has given me some confidence in using power tools. I’ve bought my drill bits , raw plugs and safety equipment since, and have identified my list of tasks, from easy to more adventurous. Thanks very much Ladies

We had an amazing time at the beginner tool course. We had an in depth explanation of each tool.
We was quite nervous to begin with however as soon as it started we had an amazing time.
The course was all very inclusive as it allowed a massive age range.
I highly recommend this course.
