Freestyle Workshop – Bring an item or an idea to work on in class

£150.00 6 hours

(4 customer reviews)

Come to Brighton for a Workshop with a difference – this workshop is Freestyle BYO!

Meaning you can Bring Your Own item, or idea to work on during this 6 hour workshop.

SPOOKTACULAR SALE ON SELECTED WORKSHOPS ENDS THIS SUNDAY 3rd NOVEMBER AT MIDNIGHT!

SPACES ARE LIMITED – FIRST COME FIRST SERVED.

You think up the idea, we work on the design together! You could use reclaimed wood such as scaffold boards, roofing or barn board, pallet wood, joists, beams, salvaged doors, ply, OSB, we can add hardware such as hinges, locks, feet, shelves. We can make whatever you want, think – shelving units, cupboards, seats, artwork, a table, stool, sideboard, storage, signs and displays for businesses, these are just a few ideas!

The world is your oyster, you are only limited by your own imagination!! What would you make?!

Because this class is freestyle it has a maximum number of 4 students at a time. You can bring an item to upcycle, or use wood from The WoodStore which you can pick out at the time with the advice of the Salvage Sister.

When you book the class simply email me your idea and I will advise you in the lead up to the class of what you might need to bring & the tools & equipment I can bring for use during the class.

Please note that because The WoodStore’s workshop is full of wood, as such it is not compatible with processes that require fire or very hot temperatures like welding or forging – this class is mainly for upcycling and woodwork projects.

If you are unsure of whether your project is right for the class feel free to contact me via the ‘Get in touch’ tab.

PLEASE DO NOT book this class to do something that is already listed as a complete workshop in my store, this workshop is for unique things that you cannot find in my other workshop classes.

(Depending on your project, the size might be quite large & you may wish to use expensive materials that may add up – in which case you may have to purchase some materials in store, or bring them with you to the workshop – this can be discussed via email prior to the class so you know exactly what you need & potential costs. However, if you do not need expensive materials, and/or your build is not very large you won’t have to pay any extra for materials. In most cases there is no extra charge, however to make sure our costs are covered I need to make you aware of this so there are no surprises later on.)

  4. Charis Williams

I don’t have any space to work at home and minimal tools & knowledge, so spending the day creating with Charis’ guidance was a god send! So pleased with my bookshelf, I can’t fault the day. Highly recommend this class.
