Yup, that’s right it’s a real cricket helmet handmade into a beautiful industrial style table lamp – perfect for sport enthusiasts & any sustainable home.
I first came up this idea for Kirstie Allsop’s ‘Fill Your House for Free’ S1. The homeowner had lots of old cricket equipment, I was asked to create a feature for the lounge which would look classy & expensive.
I came up with my first lamp made from a cricket helmet, I have since made many of these for Cricket fans all over the world.
The lamp has a gold interior to reflect the ambient glow of the low energy vintage style LED blub which comes free with this purchase. The exterior finish is hammered black with gold specks which gives it the appearance of metal. The light fitting and other fixtures are high quality CE approved components.
When you purchase a cricket helmet lamp The Salvage Sister gets to work finding one to reclaim and repurpose for you. Then all the interior padding and fixings are removed before it is sanded, spray painted and lacquered for resilience.
This process can take some time due to the drying times of the paint & lacquer drying times.
Once the paint job is complete the cage is put back on and the lamp fitting and wiring is completed ready for packaging and shipping to your door fully insured & tracked.
See the product tabs below for batch dates & shipping info.
