You will make one industrial box during the class and learn how to use the tools involved safely. Most of this build is woodwork, although the edges are steel. You will learn about cutting & drilling steel, how to cut wood with a circular saw & chop saw, fix planks of wood together with a biscuit cutter and what fixings are best to use for a project like this. At the end you’ll take what you’ve made home & use the box as you wish, they are great for storage or can be fixed to the wall as a quirky box shelf, mine has been claimed by my dog for her bed! The possibilities are endless, how will you use yours?
All tools, materials, safety wear and equipment are provided.
Depending on the levels & speed of the students we may also use jigsaws and routers to create handles in the boxes – however this is time dependant.
