Heavy Duty Industrial Shelf Brackets made from salvaged motorbike brake disks & sprockets – a must for industrial styling & heavy duty scaffold board shelving.
Choose the base material – would you like something more rustic with an aged patina? Choose mild steel! It’s also a lot cheaper than bright or mild steel.
Or are you looking for something sleek and shiny for the kitchen? Choose stainless steel! It has great corrosion resistance & is fantastic in moisture prone areas – it won’t rust.
(All my brackets are lacquered to seal them & protect from the elements, however mild & bright mild steel should only be used in dry interior applications unless it is powder coated or galvanised.)
You can also select which type of salvaged part you would like from the drop down menus.
Some salvage parts are harder to come by than others, here I rate their value by their rarity – for this reason some styles are more expensive than others 🙂
The aim for this piece was ‘totally badass industrial’ style that would be at home in any man… or woman-cave!
I ride a 600cc Honda Hornet, I love tough industrial style and auto parts, I made these shelf brackets for myself and I think every hardcore biker should have a shelf held up with these awesome brackets.
Price is per pair of brackets.
Heavy duty brackets made to hold scaffold boards and heavy loads.
They come with industrial style stainless steel dome head screws and raw plugs – just mark out your holes, drill and fit them – no hassle.
Base material – Steel
(See variations and costs below, choose from the dropdown menu)
Can be made on:
- mild steel (no extra charge)
- bright mild steel (+ £5)
- or stainless steel (+£10)
Mild Steel & bright mild steel have poor corrosion resistance, however I spray them with clear lacquer which gives some protection and a nice sheen. If you will be putting these in an area prone to moisture – ie; a kitchen, bathroom, outhouse I recommend stainless steel, as the lacquer will not stand up to constant moisture. Please see the drop down menu for costs, stainless steel is far more expensive than mild steel, or bright mild steel.
Salvaged material – motorcycle break disk & sprockets – there are several styles which I salvage
- sprockets – these are the circular with points to pull the chain, size dependant on the bike they come off. More readily available than break disks (No Extra charge)
- Brake disk – singles; these are brake disks with the outer rim only, no inner ring – more readily available than the double variety (No extra charge)
- Brake Disk – Double; Inner and outer disk, inner disk is usually aluminium and can be black, silver or less often red, gold etc. (£10 extra charge)
When you choose ‘Bright Mild Steel’ or ‘Stainless Steel’ the finish is brushed steel.
When you choose ‘Mild Steel’ the finish has a textured patina created by sanding the natural scale formed on the steel when it is hot rolled.
All types are lacquered to bring out the natural patina & character of the parts & prevent staining & rust.
