If you are unsure of working with mains electricity you can follow the steps for wiring your lamp-holder and find a qualified electrician to wire your light into the mains, it is worth changing them all at once if you do this to make it economically viable to hire an electrician.
Everything is explained in full in the instructions, which wires come from your ceiling, what the markings & colours on wires & fittings mean, & several examples of different wiring set ups that you may have in your property.
I do not advice fitting this kit yourself if you have sight or mobility issues, the reason for this is you will need to be able to safely climb a step ladder and stand on it whilst you wire in the mains end of the rose.
If you are looking for a lamp kit with a plug and switch please see below – this kit is for wiring into the mains electricity, it does not include a plug or switch although does come with a ceiling rose & attachments.
